Name: Luke Skywalker Door: TDM: Dominant Canon: Star Wars (The Original Trilogy) Canon Point: Some months post Return of the Jedi Age: 23 Appearance: You know what he looks like. History: Wiki Link (Canon is still being sorted out by canon.) Personality: - Self sacrificing - Give up your dreams a bit more to help on the farm? Fine. Suicide run to blow up a space station? Where's my ship? Danger to a mission? Clearly, handing yourself over to the worst enemy and the man who mutilated you is the only option. Compromise or die? Death it is. Luke, like most Skywalkers, has no real 'reasonable response' option. If he can find a way to help others, he'll do it, and if that means giving up things himself, he doesn't even pause to think about it. - Stubborn - Aaand following on from not pausing to think about it, once he's made his spur of the moment, rash decision, he'll stick to it. Because changing your mind is for quitters and Skywalkers aren't quitters. If they decide to break that wall with their head, by the Force, that's what's going to happen. He decided he was saving Anakin, and that was that, no evidence was going to change his mind. He decided to run off and face Vader before he was ready and refused to listen to even Ben, who was the person most likely to sway him. (Bar Leia telling him no. He's stubborn, not suicidal enough to argue with her.) - Hot-head - Got into an argument with Han within two minutes of knowing him. Got into another argument with Han and proceeded to sulk about the lovely princess. Killed a handful of troopers and tried to shoot Vader for killing Ben. Got mad with Yoda when Yoda was trolling him on Dagobah. Lost his temper with Vader on Cloud City (lost his hand for that one). Completely lost his cool and tried to murder Vader for threatening his Leia. Skywalker temper. He works hard to keeping it under control but it's still there. + Generous - Luke never had a lot, and was always willing to share it or help you get your own. He gave up everything to the Rebellion and becoming a Jedi, because people needed help and he could help. It's hard to be self sacrificing without being generous in the first place and Luke will endlessly give for others when he can. Powers and Abilities: Jedi. Luke is an extremely powerful Force presence, though remains undertrained compared to the majority of Force users in the city and unaware of many things the Force can be used to do. His most natural Force abilities are telekinesis (one of the few Force abilities he manages with no formal training), machine affinity and enhacing his own physical abilities. He's trained in using a lightsaber and a confident fighter though he lacks a lot of formalised saber training. Luke has very sharp intuition which is almost certainly enhanced by his Force connection, and he's very good at reading people's inherent kindness or selfishness or the like. (He senses the good in Vader despite everything and everyone else.) I would call it a keen empathy ability. His telepathy is fairly rubbish unless he has a preestablished connection to the person and only has to get them to hear him (he can't read minds, just emotions) and his Jedi Mind Trick is closer to hypnosis (it doesn't work if they really don't want it to [e.g. 'You'd like to leave this alone' to a bored trooper would work, 'You're going to go and shoot that civilian' is much less likely to unless they're a psychopath). I do plan on having an opt in/out post for Luke. As well as "Jedi", Luke is a mechanic second to none and has inherited his father's ability to drive or fly anything ever created with an engine. He speaks and reads several languages (much less relevant here) and is adept at short term survival with very limited resources. He's a crackshot with a blaster or rifle and a fair hand to hand combatant after years of surviving as a "Most Wanted" in a warzone. Inventory: One kyber crystal (intact, green, artificially created, unstable for other Force sensitives). One bright orange pilot's uniform from the Rebellion (personalised, call sign Red Five). One helmet formerly belonging to Darth Vader (heavily used, some damage, nightmare inducing bad vibes). Samples: Meeting Mom (March TDM with Padmé) and Meeting Dad (March TDM with Anakin) |
