Mm. Yeah. He's pretty amazin. Confusin as all hell, but he's sure somethin.


[There'd been the beginning of something there, but time . . . Not that McCoy really wanted to talk about that sort of thing with Luke. It would be . . . awkward.]

... yeah, I never found him confusing, I have to admit. Not here. At home, sometimes, but he was trying to teach me the basics of the Force as a crash course, so there was bound to be some confusion involved.

It's ah, a different kinda confusion. But I cared about him. An I'll miss him.

I wish... I knew he had a better outcome he would reach.

I'd expect so, yeah. An I think he'll find some happiness, Luke. I know his life's been really hard, but he's a lovin man. Someone'll see that an make him happy. I really believe that.


[He did believe it, even if he wasn't sure it was correct. McCoy had to believe it.]

Back home, I only got a few days with him. Here, I got to know him through his life and it's more than I ever imagined I could get.
